Bit O Java will be covering this year’s Bunbury Festival at Yeatman’s Cove in Cincinnati , Ohio this weekend. This year’s artists include headliners Paramore, Empire Of The Sun, Fall Out Boy & The Flaming Lips & we will be there with the buzz all weekend long. Other notable artists this year include ZZ Ward, Holy Ghost!, Dead Sara, Royal Teeth, Foxy Shazam, Cage The Elephant, Fitz & The Tantrums, Miner, Jesse Thomas, Cults, New Politics & more.

#1: ZZ WARD

DAY: Sunday

STAGE:  Main Stage

WHEN: 5:00 pm

*ZZ Ward is a 27 year old blues – hip hop – pop artist, hailing from Oregon signed to Hollywood Records who is rapidly making a name for herself in the music biz. She has already worked with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, The Omy’s and Freddie Gibbs and just recently played 3 dates with legendary blues artist Eric Clapton. With a debut full album, Till The Casket Drops full of bluesy ballads and snappy acoustic numbers out, her set list is sure to have something everyone will love. Out of everyone playing at the fest this year, you HAVE to catch ZZ’s set. You won’t regret it!

#2: PARAMORE

DAY: Saturday

STAGE: Main Stage

WHEN: 7:45 pm

*The Franklin, Tennessee based alt – rock band just released their self – titled , fourth studio album last year and are set to take the Bunbury Main Stage at 7:45 pm Saturday night. Following the departure of two of the band’s founding members (brothers Josh & Zac Farro) in 2010, the band, who’s lineup currently includes Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis & Taylor York have released new music and are gaining more & more fans with each show. They are on tour with fellow Bunbury headliners , Fall Out Boy on their Monumentour summer tour which lasts until late August.

#3: CAGE THE ELEPHANT

DAY: Friday

STAGE: Main Stage

WHEN: 5:45 pm

*Indie rock band, Cage The Elephant is set to take the main stage at this year’s Bunbury Festival at 5:45 pm on Friday. They have previously toured with the likes of the Foo Fighters. the Silversun Pickups & Stone Temple Pilots and have released 3 studio albums since their forming in 2006. The band, who’s lineup currently consists of Matt Shultz,  Brad Shultz, Daniel Tichenor , and Jared Champion, are currently opening for fellow indie rockers, The Black Keys on their North American Turn Blue tour.

#4: FALL OUT BOY

DAY: Saturday

STAGE: Main Stage

WHEN: 10:00 pm

*After taking a 3 year haitus, Fall Out Boy (headlining Saturday night of the fest) is back and ready to rock! They are currently on tour supporting their sixth studio album, Save Rock and Roll, which rapidly reached #1 on the Billboard top 200 chart (their 2nd career #1), with 154,000 copies sold in just the first week. with the top – 20 single, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)” reaching triple – platinum status here in the US, the band is headed back to the top, if they ever really left.

#5 HOLY GHOST!

DAY: Sunday

STAGE: River Stage

WHEN: 9:00 pm

* Holy Ghost! is a synth – pop band which formed in 2007 in Brooklyn, New York. The touring band currently consists of Chris Maher, Erik Tonnesen, Sam Jones & Jim Orso. With 2 albums, an EP and numerous remixes of songs by the likes of Katy Perry, MGMT & Donna Summer under their belt, the group is continously gaining a larger fan base. They hit the River Stage Sunday night at 9:00. Be sure to check them out!
